A restaurant guest book (CRM) your team will actually use
Regulars are not lucky accidents. They are guests who felt remembered. A short, honest guest book is how a busy team remembers.

"Welcome back, the table by the window again?" is worth more than any advert. The restaurants that say it are not better at remembering faces; they write things down. That is all a restaurant CRM, or guest book, is.
What is worth recording
- Visits and no-shows. Count them automatically, from the bookings.
- Allergies and dietary needs. The most important line in the whole record, shown on every future booking.
- Preferences. A favourite table, a high chair, sparkling water, a quiet corner.
- Occasions. Birthdays and anniversaries they told you about.
- Short notes from the team. Facts, kindly written.
What to leave out
Only write what you would be comfortable showing the guest. Guests can ask to see what you keep about them, and to have it deleted. Opinions about people do not belong in a guest book; facts that help you serve them do.
Keeping it GDPR-friendly
- Collect only what helps you serve the guest.
- Ask before you send marketing emails, and make unsubscribing one click.
- Keep the data in one place, not in notebooks and phones.
- Delete a guest's record when they ask.
Turning first visits into regulars
- Thank them the day after, and ask how it was.
- Remember the detail next time, and mention it.
- Invite them to the moments they would like: a new menu, a wine evening, a quiet Tuesday offer.
- A loyalty card gives regulars a reason to come back a little sooner.
With Revotab
Every booking builds the guest's profile in Revotab: visits, spend, allergies, occasions and the notes your team leaves, waiting on the reservation before the guest walks in.
