Refund policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

The short version

  • Restaurants pay Revotab monthly, can cancel in one click and are never charged again after cancelling.
  • If we ever charge you by mistake, we refund that charge in full.
  • Guests get booking deposits back automatically when they cancel in time or the restaurant cancels.

1. Revotab subscriptions (for restaurants)

How billing works

Plans are billed monthly, in advance, per venue. The price, the number of venues and the date of the next charge are shown on the Plan & billing page before you pay and before every renewal. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.

Free trial

New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start. If you add a card during the trial, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and we email you three days before the first charge with the exact amount.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing with one click. You are not charged again, and your account keeps working until the end of the month you have already paid for. You can resume before that date.

Refunds

Because you can cancel at any time and keep using Revotab until the end of the paid month, we do not refund the remaining part of a month after cancelling. We do refund in full:

  • any charge made after you cancelled;
  • duplicate charges, or charges for more venues than your account had.

When you switch plan, the unused part of your current plan is credited automatically on your next invoice.

How to ask

Email [email protected] from the account owner's address within 30 days of the charge. Approved refunds go back to the card that was charged and usually appear within 5 to 10 working days.

2. Payments guests make to restaurants

When you pay a booking deposit, buy a gift voucher or pay for a takeaway order through Revotab, you are buying from the restaurant. Revotab collects the payment as the restaurant's payment agent, and the restaurant's name appears on your card statement. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.

Booking deposits

  • Cancel online before the restaurant's free-cancellation deadline (shown when you book and in your confirmation email) and your deposit is refunded automatically, in full.
  • If the restaurant cancels your booking, your deposit is refunded automatically, in full.
  • If your payment arrives after your table hold has run out, it is refunded automatically.
  • If you do not show up, or cancel after the deadline, the restaurant keeps the deposit. When you dine, it is deducted from your bill.

Gift vouchers

An unused gift voucher can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. Ask the restaurant, or email us and we will pass it on. Once part of a voucher has been spent it cannot be refunded.

Takeaway orders

If the restaurant declines or cancels an order you paid online, you are refunded automatically, in full. For a problem with the food itself, please contact the restaurant.

Failed payments

If a payment does not go through, nothing is charged, the table, voucher or order is released, and we email you to let you know.

3. Your rights

This policy does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country. Questions: [email protected].
