Table management: a floor plan that fills more seats
A good floor plan is not a drawing. It is how your host decides, in a second, where the next four guests sit and what happens to the 21:00 booking.

Every service, your host makes dozens of small decisions: where the walk-in goes, which tables to join for a party of eight, whether the 21:00 booking can still sit by the window. A floor plan on a screen makes those decisions faster and calmer.
Draw it like your room
Start with your real rooms: inside, terrace, bar. Add each table with its usual number of seats and its smallest and largest party. A table for four that can take two or five is worth saying so.
Know your turn times
How long does a table of two usually stay at lunch? A table of six at dinner? Set a time per service. It decides when a table is free again, so the booking page never offers a time you cannot honour.
Plan for walk-ins
Walk-ins are good news. Keep a little room for them on busy nights by not filling every slot online, and seat them on the floor plan like a booking, so the whole team sees the table is taken.
Combine tables on purpose
Large parties are where most mistakes happen. Decide in advance which tables can be joined, and seat the party on all of them at once, so nobody books the second table by accident.
Use it where service happens
A floor plan only helps if the host uses it. Put it on a tablet or the touch screen at the host stand, and make sure seating a guest takes one tap.
With Revotab
Revotab's live floor plan shows every table at any minute of the night: who is seated, who is late, which table frees up next. Seat walk-ins, combine tables and move parties around with a tap, on a tablet or the touch monitor at the host stand. The floor plan is part of the Pro and Premium plans; see what each plan includes.
